| Notes | Shows original route crossing Potomac River bridge, with pencil updates showing revised route and new bridge as "proposed". Shows short industry spur near H16.6. Passing siding on west side of main starts at H16.7, continues past H17, with crossover near H16.7. Stub spur on east side near H16.7, near building presumed to be (but not labeled as) station. Shows bridges 24 (Potomac River Bridge, 328'6" north approach trestle, with 5 Howe Truss spams of 167' each, total 1163'8", near H16.1 to H16.3), 25 (9' span near H16.6) and 26 (11' span near H16.9). Multiple streets crossed in town. No dates on drawing. Adjacent landowners identified with distances and acreage of RoW obtained therefrom. Profile shows bridges and culverts, usually identified by size and type. Map Scale: 1"= 400'; Profile Scale: 1" = 400' horizontal, 1" = 20' vertical. Note from Mile Sheet book title page: Add 13.0 ft to elevations in these profiles to reduce them to sea level datum as given by J.R. Schicks survey Norfolk to Roanoke." |
